Crystal Villa - Concept Me

A Space to Host

Every space has its own story to tell and that story is dictated by its function. When Concept Me took over the refurbishment of this residential space, the shell of the project was already done (from the floors to the ceilings). We aimed to breathe life, culture and energy into the place whilst designing it for its function: our client’s hosting guests and entertaining them. This was not our client’s primary residence and that is why we had the luxury of experimenting boldly with eclectic design themes. We utilized a mix and match attitude throughout the process, selecting items that had an edge and injecting personal touches wherever was necessary. All of this was done for the purpose of developing a space that was always new, always fresh and embedded with a plethora of details so that its functional narrative never got repetitive. It was a narrative of eclectic detail.

On Eclectic Identity

There is a confident and intricate beauty to the process of mixing and matching pieces that dictate the identity of spaces. Through our creation of this residence’s identity, we selected high end pieces that spoke volumes in their strangeness and charm, such as the Reflex Angelo statement items. We injected a level of personalization by curating select items from the client’s personal artefact and artwork collection. This process of mixing the personal with the bold lent the place its genuine and individual eclectic identity.
